Some spaces need more than another shelf. They need an element that brings the room together.
Mårra is a high-mounted bookshelf designed to create visual movement and give architectural presence. Placed close to the ceiling, its strong graphic form works much like a cornice, adding character without taking over the room.
Made from Swedish pine, Mårra is treated with a deep black pigment and finished with three layers of polished hard wax oil. This finish brings out the richness and texture of the humble pine while giving the shelf a refined and elegenat character.
Mårra is mounted using a french cleat, making installation simple and secure. Each shelf is handmade, marked and numbered at my shop on Ringön in Gothenburg.
