“I designed Mårra to sit high up on the wall, above a door or close to the ceiling. The shelf’s strong graphic presence creates valuable visual movement in the room, much like a cornice.

Crafted from Swedish knotty pine, Mårra is treated with a deep black pigment and finished with three layers of polished hard wax oil to exalt the humble pine.

Mårra is made using sliding dovetails, a strong and elegant solution that removes the need for excessive glue. The shelf hangs on a French cleat, making the installation process easy and safe.” — Jakob Tangen
