“I originally designed Mårra to sit above our couch at home. What I find exciting about this piece is that it creates a wonderful visual motion in the room. With its soft wavy edge Mårra could afford the deep black pigment and sharp corners that balance the peice and accentuate that movement. The black pigment and polshed hard wax-oil also exalt the humble Swedish pine.

Mårra is made using sliding dovetails, a strong and elegant solution that removes the need for excessive glue. The shelf hangs on a French cleat, making the installation process easy and safe.” — Jakob Tangen
